Hi there!
This is a journal of my thoughts and experiences. Join me on my meanderings.

Organizational Psychology: Applying Psychology to the Workplace
Industrial Organizational Psychology, or IO Psychology, is simply defined as “psychology-applied-to-work”.. It is the application of principles and tools of psychology to the work environment for the well-being of organizations, employees and the society at large. This field of psychology originated and evolved between the two World Wars when there was a need to find perfect troops for a specific war situation.

A Friendship Barometer
Ever felt short-changed after a conversation with a close friend? What was supposed to be an open, free-flowing exchange turned into an unpleasant argument? And left you feeling agitated and off-balanced. Worse, it was not the first time you found yourself at the receiving end of an uncalled-for criticism, lecturing and judgment. Beware! You are likely facing toxicity in friendship!

Celebrations
I wonder what is with them
That nudges my Self to expand.
Is it the very act of preparing
To bask in the collective joy,
that hastens my pulse…

One man, a lone thought and a universe to stride
As it laid dying, he picked up a handful
Sifting it said-“We can mend and make it healthful”.
Not many believed. Not many understood
That a barrenness loomed ahead as it no more withstood
The ways of wasteful, the greed and gluttony
Surfeit and intemperance that bred an ill company

The Urgent Need to be Responsible
In a world driven by technological advancements, the rapid evolution of electronic and electrical devices has brought about unprecedented convenience in our lives. In fact, it’s impossible for us today to think of a life without such devices lighting up or connecting our lives to the world at the press of a button. This convenience would have been no hindrance to nature had we been living a sustainable and responsible life…

My Journey as the Springdales’ Head Boy
Being chosen as the Head Boy for the academic year 2023-24 was an important milestone in my academic journey at Springdales. It was both a privilege and a responsibility…

Cycling from East Coast Park to the F1 Grid in Singapore
The Post
It lurks in the nooks and corners of my memory,
Surfacing and knocking cheerily now and then,
Hoping to find a canvas to land on,
So that the untold story unfolds for all to hear.

Musings
Why does the world fight?
Doesn’t seem to be over wrong and right.
It is by the force of the tethered notions
That the sparring weapons smother nations.

Why a sustainable mindset can save the planet?
An intention is the starting point of a process. It is a given that intention manifests once awareness dawns. The end result, of course, is the desired action. It is this cycle which is at the root of earmarking awareness days as a means to focus on the issues needing collective efforts .

Ring in the new CSR- Corporate Sustainability Resolve
Once upon a time….when the barter economy flourished so did the planet. At what point did the relationship start going south is a matter of research, but it’s the awakening to re-establish that equilibrium, which seems promising.

Building Bridges
The advent of corporate social responsibility has been around for some decades now and it has evolved from being simply an act of charity, to a well- thought of philanthropy, to a commitment which an organisation undertakes to enhance the social well-being…

Ponderings
Celebrations.
I wonder what is with them
That nudges my Self to expand.
Is it the very act of preparing
To bask in the collective joy,
that hastens my pulse.

Humour (man) cometh!
Confession- As a young man, trying to make a mark in this world, I have been consciously trying out various winsome personality styles trending around. Mea culpa!

Why childhood is not “roots to grow and wings to fly“ time for millions of children?
A shocking 160 million children world over are not playing or attending schools as they ought to be doing. There small hands and feet , in fact, are labouring away in some industry, some farm, some trade or worse in some illegal activity…

All Lives Matter
Stop and look…
The gnawing bite of pollution
All around.
Price of human evolution?

To be or to not to be -A refugee’s dilemma
Leaving one’s home is never an easy choice. In fact, for more than 80 million refugees it was not even a choice. When their countries of origin became the centrer stage of violence, conflicts, wars, political unrests , economic meltdowns and environmental calamities, they had no option but to move away…

OF SYMBOLS…
The term ‘symbology’ seems to have gained popularity in 21st century lexicon with the release of Dan Brown’s ‘The Da Vinci Code’ (2003) , and has continued to stoke interest ever since, despite the vehement pronouncements by pundits that ‘semiotics’ , and not symbology was the correct term for the study of symbols.

Many More Shades of Red….on Yellow
Of all the emoji arsenal at my command, the one which is in short supply or rather short on spectrum is the one reflecting the exact biological expression , to be more precise, the facial expression of amusement which I experience at a particular moment...

My Lockdown Experience
Oft on peeking out from the window of my room
My eyes behold a bougainvillea in full bloom.
Not for it …
